We’re brand new and really excited to be a part of this amazing community.

How many people from your team are helping to brew your competition beer?

4

What beer(s) are you brewing?

Ship It Pale Ale: An American IPA, loaded with Centennial hops. 7.0% ABV
Code Monkey Coconut Porter: A classic black ale, rich with coffee and chocolate notes, and a touch of toasted coconut. 5.5% ABV

Have you brewed your own beer before?

Yes

If you have brewed before, how long have you been brewing?

5 years

If you’ve already brewed your competition beer, how did the process go?

Going great! We were really excited that our batch timing came together as planned.

We started our second batch on the day our IPA went into secondary fermentation, letting use use the yeast cake from the IPA to ferment our porter. The yeast was really happy, so the fermentation was explosive.

Where did you brew your competition beer?

In a basement 😉

Why were you interested in participating in this year’s event?

This is the perfect event to meet tons of like minded makers. Whether we’re building software or brewing beer, it’s about craft. The buzz is a bonus 😉

Where is your favorite place to grab a beer with your coworkers?

The lower 2/3 of the pint glass. I find this makes it both stable and comfortable to hold.
