What does your company do?

JackRabbit is Where Fit Happens. We are a running specialty retail company with over 60 stores across the country and a large online presence to help any runner, athlete, walker and expert stretcher. We offer products for runners, cross-trainers, cyclists, swimmers etc., but we mainly provide expert gait analysis and a customized, personal fit for shoes while delivering a local-feel within each of our stores and online. We’re a company filled with runners, crossfitters, coffee drinkers, couch potatoes, gamers, pro athletes, college stars, high school legends, moms, dads, dog lovers, cat lovers, and especially runs-over-lunch lovers, all working together to help people who love fitness.

What do you do for your company?

I am a Digital Merchandiser here in the corporate office. My role involves getting product on the site, working with the vendors (like Nike, Asics, Brooks, etc) with incoming products and the big launches, collaborating with the marketing team on how to advertise these and other deals, and much more. Like everyone in our company, I wear many different hats every day, but being surrounded by people equally enthusiastic about fitness makes the team wall-sits for a month just as enjoyable as the surprise doughnuts in the break room.

Tell us about the beer styles you are submitting this year?

We have yet to decide, but our Papa Bill’s Pale Ale turned out great last year so we plan on topping that and creating the hippitiest hoppiest beer for every runner, walker, and beer drinker around.

Why did your company decide to participate in Colorado Startup Brews?

We had such an awesome time last year! The event was so much fun to participate in, plus who would miss an opportunity to brew their own beer? CO Brew was amazing to work with and it was a ton of fun getting the office together to brew and bottle beer! We also have even more amazing free stuff to give away with our beer this year….

What do you plan on doing with this year’s championship Trophy?

We should probably mix some energy powder in it so we can make it through the holiday sale season, but we’ll probably run with it across the country to all our stores, Forrest Gump-style.
