What does Ping Identity do?

Ping Identity, in four words, is identity security done right. For primarily large enterprises, we provide an intelligent identity platform that combines capabilities like single sign-on and multi-factor authentication to create secure interactions for enterprise employees, partners and customer while also making their digital experiences as seamless as possible—no matter where they are or what device they use.

What do you do for Ping Identity?

Well, there are three brewers representing Ping. I, Drew Wieland, am the Senior Manager of Creative Services, Tyler Grove is the Development Manager for User Experience, and Ansel Kirchubel is a Technical Support Engineer. The three of us affect highly varied parts of Ping from developing our products to marketing them to supporting our customers by keeping our products working in top-notch fashion. But most importantly, we represent part of a group at Ping known as the Kegsperts, and we’re responsible for keeping our nine beer taps full and diverse with fun flavors. We work hard, but some would argue that we play harder.

Why did Ping Identity decide to participate in Colorado Startup Brews?

Hands down, CSB is the most fun networking brew event in Denver. We were an original sponsor of this event in its first year, and we’ve participated every year since. We love that it’s such a diverse event that welcomes and supports startups, startup culture, beer enthusiasm, charity and networking. Plus, Denver homebrewers just bring their A game, so it’s at least a win-win-win.

Tell us about the beer styles you are submitting this year.

Since the three of us are each brewing a batch, we coordinated to avoid bringing styles that are too similar (yes, we actually had meetings about this). I brewed up a raspberry saison (love them funky Belgians), Tyler brewed a New England style IPA (he kinda has a hazy habit we need to address), and Ansel brewed a hefeweizen (call him crazy, but he’s being true to the season).

What do you plan on doing with this year’s championship trophy if you win?

Flaunting it as loudly and proudly as possible. What that means in Ping terms is sharing it with our beloved Ping family by displaying it for all to see and enjoy, likely on or near our main floor kegerator. But that’s not to say we won’t first run around downtown with it, raising it up like the Stanley Cup!

Colorado Startup Brews is grateful that Ping has been involved every year. Cheer on Ping’s Kegsperts on Friday, September 13th by registering today!
