We’re excited to have you brewing for this year’s Bootstrapped Brews! Did you participate last year?
Absolutely, it was one of our highlights in 2014!
Please introduce yourself…
Hi! We’re Ombud – we develop software that enables enterprises to make better decisions and respond to markets faster. We work with great companies like the number one fast casual burrito restaurant and the number one specialty housewares retailer.
How long has your startup been in Colorado?
We have been around for just over 4 years. We started in Boulder and moved to Denver a couple years ago.
How many people from your team are helping to brew your competition beer?
3
What beer(s) are you brewing?
We brewed three beers for the event:
– Limewire – A cool lime ale that shows in the aftermath of P2P, Lime and Beer really does work! – a bit over 5.4% ABV
– OmBlond – A Belgian Blond, tipping the scale at 7.49% ABV
– The John Oliver – A English Citra Ale – Very malt forward with a hint of citrus. Kinda Like an English Comedian – 5.99% ABV
Have you brewed your own beer before?
Yes
If you have brewed before, how long have you been brewing?
Over 10 years
If you’ve already brewed your competition beer, how did the process go?
After a solid day of gaining some “inspiration” at the Fort Collins Brewers’ Festival, we finally got to brewing our lime ale. It was a late brew night (finished about 10:30pm), but really looking forward to how it turns out.
Where did you brew your competition beer?
Thad Eby’s (CEO) half barrel brewery.
Why were you interested in participating in this year’s event?
Ombud created and co-hosted the event last year. As a founding member, we really wanted to combine technology entrepreneurship and craft beer.
Where is your favorite place to grab a beer with your coworkers?
Pour House (right down the street from our Office), or one of the many breweries around.
Any additional comments?
Going to be a great event!
