How long has your startup been in Colorado?

Ping has been in Colorado since 2002. Not your typical startup age, but with the massive growth and diversification over the past few years, we definitely foster an innovative and energetic startup culture.

How many people from your team are helping to brew your competition beer?

1

What beer(s) are you brewing?

I’m brewing a Mexican IPA. Inspired by some of my favorite hoppy brews, this full-bodied IPA (or more appropriately MPA) will be infused with the south-of-the-border flavors of jalapeno, cilantro and agave. A little kick with a little sweet and plenty of hop kick. I anticipate an ABV of around 6%.

Have you brewed your own beer before?

Yes

If you have brewed before, how long have you been brewing?

About a year

If you’ve already brewed your competition beer, how did the process go?

It’s an all-grain brew, so the process definitely took time. And on one of the hotter days of the year, no less. I think my favorite part of the process was waiting for the wort to cool off, as I sipped a hefeweizen I kegged just last week.

Where did you brew your competition beer?

Home. Or more accurately, my test brewery.

Why were you interested in participating in this year’s event?

I’m super passionate about craft brewing, and I love the camaraderie of this event. I love sharing my creations and I can’t wait to try others as well.

Where is your favorite place to grab a beer with your coworkers?

In our kitchen since we usually have about 5 beers on tap.
